Kids love Papillon! Our ponies are patient and well trained to give young riders an enjoyable introduction to riding and horse care. There are a number of options available for your child to learn the basics of horse riding and horse care, right through to specific dressage riding training.
Our popular three-day camps are suitable for young children and teenagers (six years and older) and for those who would like an introduction to horses and riding. Camps run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 4pm, during school holidays. Each day involves a group riding lesson, a ride in Centennial Park (weather permitting), lessons in grooming, tacking up and general care of horses, as well as horse handling.
Whether you have some experience, or you are a total beginner, the stable day is ideal for children and teenagers wanting to learn more about riding and how to care for horses. If your child is interested in horses and horse riding, or wants to learn more about horses, and how to care for them the Stable Day is a perfect way to make new experience around horses. The day includes a 1h private lesson and a 1h park ride, and your child will learn what it means to look after horses for a whole day.
Why not have your next child’s birthday party in the beautiful surroundings of Centennial Parklands?
The pony party is an excellent way to make your child’s birthday even more special. You can hire a pony from up to 1 hour and we recommend having one pony for maximum 6 kids.
Provide your child with the best introduction to horse care and horse riding with Papillon Riding Stables. This is a great gift option for kids', which they can continue to enjoy all year.
