Meet our team of trained horses and ponies, each with their own unique personality:
Elvis is very versatile, working very well with advanced riders but also proving suitable for beginners and always loves a ride in the park. He has excellent paces and is a very striking and well educated horse.
Max is well educated in all the basics and shows great canter work. Max is a very intelligent pony who has often given pony rides at Fox Studios as well as appearing in Fox publicity for 'The Country comes to the City'.
Banjo is a handsome horse, who is very senstive, calm to ride with nice, even paces. He is versatile enough to work with beginners or more advanced riders and is also a good horse to take for a park ride.
Jazz is a very comfortable and kind horse. She is a pleasure to work with and gives back the effort her rider puts in. Jazz is mainly suitable for advanced riders, as she is quite tall and can be very strong.
Originally form Sutton Farm Equestrian Center, Minty is one of our most reliable school ponies. She is very sweet and much loved amongst all kids. Minty has taught many young children their first canter, which is very smooth and comfortable.
Charley joined us as a young horse with quite a temper. He did settle a lot and these days loves to go for a ride around the park or to teach his riders. He is not a horse for beginners but works very well with advanced riders.
Sandy joined out team about mid-2018, she settled into our riding school life very well and is gaining new skills every day. Sandy still needs to develop herself further as she is only young, but she can already work well with more experienced riders.
Jaycee came to us in November 2018. We are just starting to work with him after he had some time to get used to the new surroundings. He is doing very well and appears to develop into a very good school horse from which many riders can benefit.
Star is small in size but not in character. With her quite forward movements she is a very good pony for children to improve their riding skills. Star also has enough patience to teach young beginners.
Jerry has been with Papillon since 2008. He is a good all-round performer, suitable for park rides, beginners and more advanced children. Jerry especially loves to be groomed and patted
Daisy is the newest member of our horse family. She is learning very quickly and is already able to work with some riders. Daisy is very lovely to ride and has an amazing temper. We are looking forward to seeing her develop into an amazing teacher.
It is important to us that all of our horses have a break from time to time, to recharge their batteries and potter around in a paddock for a change. At any time, one or more of our horses may be on a short break. Currently Star and Thoura are out enjoying their time and doing nothing but munching grass.
